Full Version: How do i overclock?

Even after some research i have no idea as to how people "overclock". I just want to know this for the future when i upgrade to "liquid coolz"

  • Is it i5-4460 or i5 4460K
  • What type of motherboard do you have?
  • What type of power supply do you have?
  • What type of CPU cooler do you have?
  • What type of case do you have? Does case have good airflow? 
  • How many fans does case have?

1) i have no idea ( i don't think it is a k series)
2) Asus H81M Plus mobo
3) 550w
4) stock intel
5) i don't know where to look for case fans

If you don't know where to look for case fans, then maybe a good idea to leave overclocking alone.

If there is meant to be one at the back there isn't. But airflow is alright there are two grill things that are for aesthetics i think but i do feel air coming out and i've got a grill which about 23cmx20cm.

Do you want a picture of my case? i have no idea of what model it is on the box it said gamermax but i don't think so
Sounds like you don't many fans.
Speccy will specify if it is a "k" chip or not.
my take on it if you need more speed just buy a new CPU

I am not a big fan of over clocking
