we will be getting an upgrade which entails fiber optic channel installed...does this mean our cable tv connection will be greatly improved? i never had this before so im a bit perplexed.

Not sure about improvements as such it depends how bad your current reception is I suppose, there will be less degradation over time though and you may receive more options as data transmission is far greater in optics.

i have an update to this...apparently the fiber optic installment will be an opt out deal. its an extra that requires a signup to U verse...i inquired about it and they said we dont have to do that. this is good because some folks like me cant afford AT&T u verse..we are already struggling with comcast
