 Azn Brian,
I have added links to the messages popping up and hope you or some one could have a look and see what they make of it the explorer in Windows seems to be affected as it stops and I can't make Windows updates work. Avast has blocked some malicious software and it looks related to the explorer problem and Host Process For Windows Services stopping working and was closed error

Here are the dialogue boxes   please have a look and see what you think.............. by the way I downloaded Hitman Pro and could not install it maybe because avast is running but it asked me to tell it what application to install it with ??

http://yfrog.com/eh1002188zj   The last link shows what happens when I try to install  Hitman Pro - avast is running a scan so not sure it that's why this error pops up ?

This is the first time I have managed to access Windows without safe mode with networking and it was only after the check disk found the errors fixed them and you can see the report I posted after I booted with last good config and I arrived at the desktop ran the avast and removed the threat.

Still have problems with the Host Process service stopping any ideas really appreciated, thank you all for checking out my post and help. Take care

 Azn every one
well with the greatest respect I have to say that the response to my cries for help on this forum have been to put it mildly very poor I have given every piece of information asked and more to help try to make this problem clear and for some feed back and only two members have even responded maybe three.

I know people have things to do and have lives but really if this is the sum of the involvement then the whole point of a forum of this type is lost. I can not believe no one out in forum land doesn't know or suggest a way to help.

I hate to come over as pushy or arrogant but you must be able to share my frustration and disappointment. I have tried to be an active member and encourage enthusiasm in other members to make this a place to come and to get the word out what a great community we COULD have here but the honest opinion that I have been left with is there appears to be no  commitment to get involved too many takers and not enough givers.

Sorry guys can't help but just express my disappointment. Take care

 Azn everyone,
I have found the problem is the hard drive ran diagnostic test from DELL on the PC in question and long with the reports of errors I posted earlier the result was MSG DISK_0-BLOCK 31629621 uncorrectable  data error or media is write protected in huge areas of the hard drive so there you have it along with Trojans and other rubbish reported by Malwarebytes and Hitman pro. Take care

I understand your frustration and disappointment tmy, I would like it also if more people helped out, BUT what can I do, I cant make people help.

How frustrated and disappointed do you think I feel? I have people asking me loads of questions every day and some I just cant answer because i just dont have the time, I try to point them to the forum so they can get help. But sometimes people dont help them because they are busy them selfs or they just dont know how.

it was never going to be easy and maybe the forum has failed, I have two options keep the forum as is and just keep on doing what I can and update when possible or delete it from the server?

Maybe i will start a poll see what the people what.

The most important thing to remember its free and people do try and give up what free time they have to try and help.

 Azn Brian,
I feel sorry for you Brian you have put so much work into this and the youtube videos, it's such a shame I was really excited and felt we had the makings of a really great forum. I really hope it's not  a reflection of the world in general were people just take and don't care as long as they are ok.

I have limited knowledge but try to add what I can with bits I find on subjects I think will help others. We do have some really helpful members on this forum but they and  yourself can't manage to keep up with every thing. I would hate to lose this forum purely because we have some really good moderators and some really helpful knowledgeable members and yourself Brian who have put a lot of time and effort in to this forum.

Your right no one can be made to help out and it's just the way it is don't worry or feel down Brian you tried to get it up and running that's all you can do and you have to be proud of your work and the videos on youtube will have helped hundreds if not thousands of people so you have to be happy with that.

I was disappointed by the response to the particular problem I was asking assistance with I was tired and getting nowhere fast, I managed on my own in the end as I have done in many other cases but it would have been nice for other members to have seen how well this forum SHOULD work and follow as we work towards a fix and get a result.

Thank you so much Brian have a good weekend mate don't feel to down, take care

tmy

Very Strong emotions flying about here guys, Sorry for the Delay Tmy I have Been Inspecting and Testing at a school for 3 days early to late.

It turns out that you found out the answer which was a virus causing the blue screen of death and it has caused the hard drive to fail

Again sorry for any delay this time I have been working.

Brian you have done a good job with the forum and it is a great resource of information that from time to time people contribute really useful and positive feedback and information on this forum.

I would have to agree that a poll would possible be a good idea at least you would get an idea what people would do.

I agree with both of you guys it would be nice if more people put it than just took
Unfortunately it is in the name FORUM.

It is a free place to chat about a subject and get advise and people only do this when they can and in there own time you would only ever get people really interested in helping if there where getting paid for it but as they are not they will only contribute when they are not busy. 

Also before you pull the plug on the forum Brian it would be a good idea to add a chat section to the forum so people could ask questions and get instant replies from people when they are online and you would find that more people would join in a give answers people prefer instant chat to writing on a page. And to stay in tough

Tmy please keep the spirits up and don’t put them down I understand your frustration I do there is nothing worse than a problem you can not resolve and you ask a question and it dose not get an answer. Although other times we are quick.

Like Brian rightly said you can not force people to join in and give advice and sometimes people just do not know the answer

Others feel they don’t want to say anything incase it is wrong and they make themselves look stupid or look like they don’t know what they are doing

This is one of the friendliest forums I have ever joined and certainly the most helpful
Forum I have ever joined and proud of this forum for those reasons and would personally be disappointed if it was closed.

Also ask people want they want I will start it for you and get the ball roiling

Also Tmy please remember that people are giving up there free time and all advice is free so please be patient.

Brian Great Forum Great Advise Great Job and Lets Try and get this big, Rome was not built in a day nor was face book and look how big that is and Briteccomputers.co.uk could be as big if we all put the time in and did the right things 

Admittedly I myself and others have been very busy lately and have not had as much time to contributes but that can all change around again I myself have been working or studding programming so I have put 80% of time into that but now I will concentrate more on the forum again as I have learnt 50 times what I knew before.

Brian One very Last Thing take a look at the form statistics and you will see how much it is actually growing and people come here to learn get advice because they know less than others and social reasons.

Also Tmy when you look at the number of people who have been reading posts to replies remember that people 90% of the time do not know the answer but this is where the experienced people can help

On that note I am going to end this post as it has gone on for ages thanks to all and also for reading my views on this matter and all the best Brian and Tmy

Kind Regards

Bradley Scott

Nice post Bradley, and as for the forum, your right it is a great resource of information for people.
Let me just say why the forum is not as busy as other forums? well its because the forum is part of my website and not just a outright forum of its own.

 Azn Bjseal91 and Britec,
I agree with everything Bradley wrote and hope too that you ( Britec ) do not pull the plug on this great forum we have developing here. Our passion to help people out will over come the early teething problems and as you rightly say Bradley Rome was not built in a day.

We are all busy doing whatever it is in our normal day to day lives and it's true we can't always be here to answer every question instantly. I may have come over as negative but that is far from the truth I just want to help in any way I can to improve the forum, the fact we are having this discussion shows we care and are trying to figure out how best to make it work.

I want to thank everyone for their contributions questions and chit chat we are all hoping for the same thing - a friendly and happy place to come and find info on the stuff we are interested in. Thank you again, take care

tmy
