HI BRIAN
PURCHASED A SEAGATE EXTERNAL DRIVE USB DRIVEN, ON BOX SAYS ITS A 320GB DRIVE. BUT WHEN I HOOKED IT UP TO MY WIN7 IT ONLY SHOWS UP AS 298 GB. IS THIS A BIOS THING?

320 GB is 320 000 000 000 bytes... 1024 bytes = 1 KB, 1024 KB = MB, 1024 MB = 1 GB. So, divide 320 000 000 000 by (1024x1024x1024) and you get 298.02 GB

Have u noticed that comanys cut back alot now especally dell my m8 has one of theses

hmmm  thats looks very nice and well priced but the point is the ammount of hardve space we can accses is only 800GBS not including sytem reserve and back up partition .
but there well over 100gbs out. !?!?!?
