Hello Britec,

First of all, I can't tell you how amazing your videos are.  My question is how do you get real-time updates to the anti-virus programs in Trinity?  If the computer you are on cannot boot up, how do you get an internet connection to bring all the the anti-virus programs up to date in order to restore the out of service computer?

 Azn SilverSilk

Welcome to the forum

Trinity Rescue Kit  is able to update itself through the script ‘updatetrk’.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome!  Can't believe you answered me so soon...I guess I'm just lucky. Smiley

Thanks for reminding me about the script "updatetrk".  However, I'm pretty sure in the excellent video you did on Trinity you mentioned (at the 3:21 mark) that you had to have an internet connection to update the anti-virus programs. Are you saying that by choosing "updatetrk" this will force an unbootable computer to boot up and connect itself to the internet? There is a good chance I misunderstood what you were saying or what you meant on your video. Being an American, I'm a little slow, so could set me straight on this point.  Thanks again.

How is this done?  I placed the Trinity cd into the unbootable computer and it did not force the computer to boot up and to connect itself to the internet.  I tried putting the Trinity cd into a working computer while it was on and it could not connect to the internet to download updates.  Can you tell me specifically what concept I am missing here?
