Hi Peter,

Sorry been real busy and forgot to post a reply, yeah I had a quick look at it and I think you done a ok mate.
it dont have to be to fancy, just be yourself, no point in having a wicked covering leter and cv which dont reflect you or what you can do.

So what sort of thing should I put in it because they might what I know about computer maintenance or repair or even ask If have done this before and should I phone the shop up and find who the manager or owner is to put on the letter.

Some companys test you...so you dont want to bullshit to much and make your self look a arse, I would say your a enthusiast and your willing to learn.
If you get asked a question do you know how to do TCP/IP for example...and you dont know much about it...just say you have touched on the subject, but your willing to learn.
dont just say no what is TCP/IP etc, talk about your strong points, take control in the interview and sound confident. I have seen people in the I.T. field that know **** all, but they still work in I.T.

Just cover all bases, example I work well in a team or on my own...because they might be looking for someone whos a team player or someone who can work on the own so your have covered both bases.

in your profile add something like this:

Technical pioneer and PC Support specialist offering over 20 years of comprehensive experience in the areas of PC Support. Is goal oriented and works only to a standard of excellence ensuring corporate technical objectives are not only met but exceeded. Believes in the importance of being a hands-on person who leads by example. Creative problem solver whose efforts have reversed negative technical trends and increased productivity. Thrives on challenges offered by new and innovative communication technologies.
