I know most of you prob. don't know that many people here in American racing but you might have heard of the name Dan Weldon. He is from Emberton, England and is a driver for the IRL( Indy Racing League) here in America. I don't really know a lot about the IRL, but have watched a few races, as I am more of a NASCAR fan, but this past weekend he was killed in a horrific 15 car wreck at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Nevada,US. 2 or 3 others were also taken to the hospital but i think will be alright. Dan Weldon was very respected here in the US as a driver and a person. He won the IRL Championship in 2005 and a 2 time winner of the Indianapolis 500, one of if not the most biggest race here. It has really jolted the racing world in America and probably Europe too. The nicest thing was the 5-lap tribute all the IRL drivers did for Dan after the race was called. The wreck and tribute can be found on youtube. I just wanted to pay a respect to a driver who left this world far to early, at 33. That's my age too!!!! Also he leaves behind a wife and 2 small children. You'll be missed on the track!!!!!! RIP Dan Weldon
