Hi Guys

I am looking for some assistance here, i have this dell dimension 5000 and will not boot up when you switch on yellow light flashes continously, having looked at dell site get this A power supply or system board failure has occurred. does this mena it needs a new power supply? says to run diagnostic disk but cannot get it to boot so cannot run anything, any ideas?

You can test power supply with Multimeter or power supply tester

But I would also do a quick test on all hardware to make sure what has failed.

Dell comes with some diagnostics tools.

But if your sure its motherboard or power supply.. then test power supply if alls ok then its systemboard.
But only if your sure its 1 of the 2
