HI there,
Insert your Bootable Thumbdrive and turn on your machine.
As it boots go into BIOS, F2 or whichever key you have to use, key along to the Boot tab and click it and you should see your thumbdrive in the list of boot options, use the keys indicated along the bottom of the screen to move your USB thumbdrive to the top of the list. F5/F6 are possibly the keys you need to use for this. Click the Exit tab, Save your changes and your machine will boot to your Thumbdrive.
OR
You may be able to select a key that will take you to a Boot Menu where you select your Thumbdrive to boot from. This key may be the F12 key, as it is on my Toshiba Netbook, check your screen as your machine starts up to make sure. Select you Thumbdrive, click Enter and boot up.If you can do it this way then you do not have to go in to your BIOS to change anything.
Cheers ,HTH,
