Hi gang, last week I got a free donated broken dell dimension 1100 pc, it didnt turn on so I purchased a PSU and today went to install it what should be a 20 minute job the pc isnt turning on? Only the green LED Light is on the motherboard? I replaced the connectors and the yellow and black connector goes to the bottom where the old one went, why is this? On the power supply unit they is a connector that is red and black wires, it has a black arrow? What is this?

Thanks gang

Thanks for the Chart, im wondering however my pc dosent power up but the green led on the MOBOARD comes on

I read somewhere else that DELL dosent allow you to use other power supplies, I purchased a brandnew FSX and it seems it will not be compatible? What do you think

So why is mine not working its an SFX 300 and my dell power supply that blew out the original one it was had a pink cable on the main connector but on my SFX Connector it has no pink cable and the cables are jumbled up and not in the same order as the cables on the Dell PSU?

Do you think the MOBO is dead because I only get a green led light with this new PSU?

Your PSU is the smaller one its not a standard ATX power supply
Your have to make sure there is enoughe power to run your PC

This will tell you what your PSU is compatible with

My ATX PSU 300 has a white wire on the main connector, and my dell PSU that blew out has a brown wire on the main connector, other than that the layout of colours on the connectors are the same,
