Hi everyone, I have a Dell Dimension 1100 tower, it was about 20 dollars that is 10 UK pounds the problem is it dosent work, the owner said it just turned off, so I removed the PSU and want to know what kind of PSU can I put in? The original DELL PSU is a 250w so can I look for a 300 and how much are they? Also I need to install a Hard drive something around 40GB, And these things I will purchase second hand or do you think brand new will do? I dont want to spend a lot on this Unit. I want to keep my costs at a minimum incase the motherboard is not working. So any ideas gang? What do you think its a dell dimension 1100
Thanks
I have seen a SATA hard drive on ebay 40GB for under £10 is this worth it? Also my frame on my case is big and my old power supply that works cannot fit on this as the PSU is small and the screws cannot get in

One more thing how can I make sure the PSU will fit as the mounted brackets on my case are wide and most PSU are too small to be mounted onto the frame? I dont want to spend money on a PSU then it dosent fit, this
Dell unit is quite big

Well your not going to get a great PSU make for £10
it will be a generic make, but it will do the job.
