Hello Hope one of the fine people on here can me with a problem that I have. The problem i have is as follows...... Whenever I go to save a file picture etc from any internet browser IE 8or 9 Firefox etc when I try and select the location for the file etc to be saved on my PC the browser shuts down. It does not matter if I open it in a new window and then save it or if I right click and slecet "Save target as" I get the same thing it just crashes with no error message just a restart of the browser.
I have run the following without any joy Combie fix Malaware AVG full scan Windows Fix (from this site)
Dont want to run a repair of Windows 7 as afried it may delete some of my other files etc. Please help. Many Thanks in advance.

Does this happen if you boot up into safemode with networking?

Hello Thanks for your reply, have just tried in it safe mode and it is fine and working as it should. Any ideas please?

So if it works in safe mode it cant be a setting in the browser... so I would think its got to be something that's running once booted up which is stopping you downloading? Maybe try and disable all the start-up programs in MSCONFIG and enable them one at a time until you find what program is causing it. I would start with Antivirus program and Firewall.

OK disabled everything thing in the start-up programs in MSCONFIG and restarted PC but its still the same with everything within the start-up programs so guess its not that. Anymore ideas PLEASE.

Its got to be something that's running. Try and disable Antivirus and Firewall, Try and disable all Browser Plug-ins and Extensions. You know it works in Safe Mode so your have to do a bit of hunting around to find out what is stopping you download.
