Share a folder on a home network - Mobis - 06-01-2018 Hi all, Is it possible to share a folder on a home network (PCs are windows 10 Pro 64bit) which has only 1 PC authorised access to it? I know you can share a folder with access to everyone, but, Does the PC that wants access to that folder have to be a user on the sharing computer to have access only rights? I don't want to share with everyone because if I have friends over this folder will be open to all as I have a WIFI access too, I don't want to have to set up me as a user on her PC (the wife's) (I guess if I have to, I have to) Could it be done with a MAC only address or some other way, or am I stuck with having to set my whole account up on her PC? Many thanks. RE: Share a folder on a home network - Britec - 06-01-2018 Just choose who you want to have access to that folder. So the only way to share a folder with a single user is, they have to be a user on that computer, I did not want to have to log on to her computer, I was hoping there was another way. Cheers.
