laptop display flashes uncontrollably - PhilipMoore1953 - 12-11-2018

Hi Guys,
I have a laptop coming in for service with a bit of a strange (at least to me) set of issues.
During running windows 10 (current updates) the screen will begin to flash repeatedly then will go blank.
This can occur after 5-10 minutes running or after hours of running.
There is nothing showing on the screen after it goes blank. restarting the OS temporarily resolves the problem until next time.

This typically happens when using MS office Word or Excel.

Thanks!

After checking the laptop out it was discovered that it was in dire need of all types of updates, device drivers, Windows updates, Adobe flash updates. After all updates were done the laptop ran as if it was bullet proof. (knock on wood) Client was delighted.
