Need advice on ssd size for older laptop - maxfox44 - 06-24-2019

Hi guys

Sorry for posting in general discussion, please move to a more appropriate section.

I want to clone my failing (chirping) hard drive in my laptop with an ssd. I’ve just watched your excellent YouTube video using partition magic.

My question is what capacity of drive should or could I buy with this laptop. HP Pavilion I3?

The current drive is showing 928gb.

Thanks in advance.

Can you please tell what is the current used space in your dying HDD. its a 1 TB hdd for sure. but i would suggest go for just a 500GB SSD or 350 not more than that. and rest keep all your data on a external HDD

I’m only using about 150gb, so I guess a 500gb would be more than able.
