I enabled a static ip address do i need these settings or

Why cant i disconnect my wifi adapter and use my Ethernet, it just just stays at unidentified network and doesn't connect

It could be a setting on your router or damage to the network cable that's giving you the problem....

First Check your cable for any damage. Usually, the most common cable to go bad is the short cable coming from the router to the computer.

If the cable is ok... try rebooting your router by either turning off the power or unplugging it for 10 seconds, then turn it back on.

If that doesn't work, Contact your ISP and see what they suggest...

Ahh it seems like i should just un assign my ip address from the computer any suggestions on how or if i can do so? Because ive already tried all of those except the isp part

Trying to restore my network connections back to default

Here is a bunch of commands you can use to reset your network settings to default.

You can reset the TCP/IP Stack (Winsock) this way.


1. Open Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator.
2. At the command prompt type commands below and press Enter.
3. Restart your PC for the changes to take effect.

ipconfig /flushdns

netsh int ipv4 reset
netsh int ipv6 reset
netsh winsock reset
netsh int reset all
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ip reset reset.log
nbtstat -R
nbtstat -RR

I ran the commands then restarted my computer and no difference but then i reinstalled my network card and its all fine and dandy we can close the thread thank you all for your help.
