Intermittent Disconnection Problems
#11
I have virgin media and sometimes the DNS Servers are crap or go down and I can't surf the internet, changing these to say Google DNS resolves the issue.

How to change DNS Server

Also, it comes down to what area you live it and what capacity they are running at.
For instance here in London they run at full capacity at peak times and this can lead to issues like
  • slow browsing
  • loss of service
  • page faults
  • lower speeds
  • dropped packets
  • packet loss
Also, try and use wired connection as much as possible, this will possibly cut down on a lot of issues that you're having especially at peak times.

hope this helps
