Hi Jon Gilbert,
I would not trust ReimagePlus, these programs say that they will scan and repair, clean and optimse your computer, when there goal is to scam your money out of you. Once you install the software, it will infect the system and do all sorts of nasty things to the system and trick you to think there was problems with your computer from the start when there wasn't. This software is malicious and should be removed, it also adware. So when browse the internet, the software will redirect you to an unsafe or nasty website. If you do have this software, you will need to run malware removal scans to make sure your system is clean. Please see below: Scan with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.
HitmanPro
Fix with AdwCleaner Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save the file to your desktop.
Please include the contents of that file in your reply. Fix with Junkware Removal Tool Please download JRT by Malwarebytes and save the file to your desktop. Temporary disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware protection - instructions here.
Please include the contents of that file in your reply. Do not forget to re-enable your previously switched off protection software! Please also manually reboot your machine after this procedure. Scan with RogueKiller Please download RogueKiller and save the file to your desktop. Temporary disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware protection - instructions here.
If the malware is blocking you, please enter safe mode with networking. Here is proof that it is malicious: https://malwaretips.com/blogs/reimageplus-popup-virus/

That's to do with the adverts not the actual program. The program itself is legit albeit a crap program like sysmechanic etc but the program itself is not malicious.
