Hello,
Please help. Hp g6-2321dx fan was making a loud noise, so I cleaned fan, vents and applied new thermal paste. The system now boots with following message:
Boot Device Not Found
Please install an operating system on your hard disk.
Hard Disk (3F0)
F2 System Diagnostics
I did Hard Drive Quick check (SMART Check : PASSED
Short DST: PASSED)
Extensive Check also passed.
I have also re-seated the hdd.

Laptop is not detecting boot device, try and check your hard drive connection to make sure it is plugged in and getting power. Also SATA controller on the motherboard could be bad.

Check BIOS to see if hard drive is detected? if so is it selected as your first boot device?

You can do this from a Windows CD open a command prompt and try and run chkdsk c: /r /f (make sure you are scanning your windows partition)
