Hi Compton , first of all pardon my lack of manners before and not thanking you for your reply to my posting and also your assistance , I downloaded the tool created an iOS bootable usb drive and have so far run a five minute diagnostic on my western digital caviar green 2TB hard drive and so far no errors detected , so now running full surface scan which will take over three hours
