Hi Guys,
Does windows 10 keep a log file/dump when Windows freezes? and if so where?I have never had a BSOD, so there's nothing to help me troubleshoot there, but I do get random bouts of Windows freezing with no on screen/blue screen message. I invariably have to force windows to shut down using the power button, sometimes with multiple apps/windows open (yeah, I know, but it's the only way I can get things working again)
I don't know if it's a coincidence, but when I do force shutdown, I get a message that Windows is installing updates while its rebooting, then it installs and reboots again. From that point, everything seems OK. I didn't know if when windows finds and downloads updates, it somehow makes my PC unresponsive or if the 'installing updates' message I get after a forced shutdown, is windows trying to repair things after the forced shutdown.
