Asus core i7 64 bit windows 7  6 months old

Just lately when left say for 30 minutes Norton usually kicks in with it`s checking etc, but when I try to finish something or do something  say in chrome it sort of hangs you know with the circle not responding, even ctrl alt delete to get the task manager up won't work, so every time it decides to do that I have to keep holding the button down to switch off and lose my work?

I am trying to think why? with such a fairly new expensive computer it`s started to do that.

I have looked in the installed programs to see what has been downloaded in the last couple of weeks since I noticed it`s done it!

Trusteer endpoint protection, this is from Natwest bank software, I did have an issue with something with this I think connected to Adblock

which I deleted, it fixed the problem, but I can`t remember what actually it was. not to worry.

Mozilla Firefox update 42.0 {x86 en-us
Mozilla Maintenance service
Citrix online launcher
Dropbox

I have downloaded  Malwarebytes Anti-Malware recently trial version, but it did it before that!

weird that one, I was looking for something in google yesterday right at the top of google and this Malwarebytes kicks in saying it has blocked a potentially malicious website. Your Malwarebytes malicious website blocking technology has blocked outgoing or incoming communication between your computer and a malicious Internet Protocol (IP) address. That's a good thing. This communication could be:

An attempt to download malware onto your computer
An attempt to redirect you to a malicious web page
An attempt to deliver malicious advertising.               It works then?

That`s about it, in the last couple of weeks.

I hope that`s enough information to get some light on the problem!

Thanks,

Lou
