AVG Firewall troubles (for the experts)
#1
Hi everyone,

First of all: my problem is really difficult.

I have installed AVG internets security (2015) a couple of times.
Express install and custom install (uncheck firewall)
And install the firewall after the installation in AVG.

I have uninstalled AVG free 2014 (control panel)
And the removal tool og AVG

When I start or reboot the system the Firewall of Windows is on.
After 5 minutes the firewall of Windows will be off.
The firewall of AVG is always on.

The problem also exist in "clear boot"

Thanks for the help!

You lost me a bit, are you wanting to use Windows Firewall or AVG Internets Security Firewall?

Sorry, my English language, lol.

Windows firewall is the first 5 minutes on.
After that, avg disable automatic the firewall of Windows

The firewall of Windows must be disabled (also the first 5 minutes)

makes this clear?

The first 5 minutes:

Windows Firewall will be disabled if AVG Internet Security Firewall is enabled, if you disable AVG Internet Security Firewall, Windows Firewall should then enable its self.
This is the same for all firewall software, only one will be enabled.
Do you want to run Windows Firewall? or AVG Internet Security Firewall?

Disable Windows Firewall in Registry

Go Start Button in Search Box Type regedit. Right Click and Run as Administrator.

navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/SharedAccess/Parameters/FirewallPolicy

Click StandardProfile Double-click EnableFirewall Change the value to "0" to turn Windows Firewall Off.

Go to DomainProfile and PublicProfile Change the value for EnableFirewall to "0" Restart your computer.

I can also disable the firewall by windows services. (Disable by startup)
But Windows doesn't recognize my AVG firewall.

That's my biggest problem

Please try registry edit, let me know. what version of windows 7 do you have? have you got local group policy editor? type gpedit.msc and see if you have, if so you can disable it from there.

Just disable from group policy if you want.
