Which Software Do You Recommend
#1
Hi Guys,
Given the problems I've have with Hard Drive Cloning (Windows 7)...I'd like to know what you guys use and recommend for Cloning and Disk Imaging. I have used to-date...Aomei Backupper...Easeus Todo...Macrium Reflect and a borrowed copy of Acronis which was returned.

What do you think is more reliable of the above or do you use something else...all of the above when used to clone my HDD with OS gave me a boot error but thanks to Brian's youtube videos in the past got me out of trouble. Also guys which do you think is better...to Clone or to create a Disk Image for storage...as this is all I want it for. Thanks Guys.

I have used loads of different types of clone and image software, I think its going to come down to what a person likes, but this does not mean its the best, you ask 100 people at random and they will say they choice is the best. I like Macrium Reflect is a great free product packed with good features, but I also like Aomei Backupper, Easeus TodoParagon Backup & Recovery Free, I also like HDClone 5  another good simple program is XXClone and for all you Linux loving fans there is CloneZilla another simple to use program is MiniTool Drive to Drive copy, I have also used DriveImage XML many moons ago and of coarse last but not least we have Aconis True Image and  Symantec™ Ghost Suite

So as you can see there is a wide choice, I have used all of these and can nit pick all day on all of these software, but they all do a job, clone and image as long as it works and verify backups, it should all be good, some are faster than others, some are easier to use.

So if I told you to use Aconis True Image and you did not like it would I be wrong and does that make the product crap...? No of coarse not, it just means you don't like it, there will be loads of people that do like Aconis True Image and this goes for any other software really.

Its the same debate when it comes to Anti-Virus software or Windows, Linux and Mac, you pays your money and make you choice, there all great in the users eyes.

I've used a lot of the imaging programs out there and I personally use Acronis for all of my drive imaging.

The question is do you want to Clone (for RAID purposes) or Image (for backup purposes).

Thanks Guys for the replies...I do get your point Brian and I suppose it's like saying "How long is a piece of string" or which brand of TV is the best. Didn't realize how much Cloning software was out there...thanks for the links Brian...will try some of the others too.
