It is the nature of technology. Old versions of software are upgraded for a reason. Weather it be for security, performance or compatibility reasons we all have no choice but to go along with it to some degree.

now technology can change fast I have learn a few things in tech

No different to Microsoft doing it.

I don't quite understand what the problem is, all browsers are updated and improved over time in certain ways one of which would be the video playback formats.

YT will mostly use HTML5 by default which most browsers now are compatible with if you're using an outdated browser then it stands to reason the functionality wont be there.

Incidentally, older browsers wont even be able to access the net soon as the digital certificates change and the algorithms used to access will no longer respond.
