Wartune

Wartune Web page (blue)

Had this pop up a few times now for as far as I can tell no related reason.
I have run both Malwarebytes & NIS nothing found?
I have Win 7 & use IE 11 any suggestions to remove this pop up would be appreciated.

It should be in your add and remove programs list. Try uninstalling it from there, if not.

[Image: adwcleaner_new.png] Fix with AdwCleaner

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save the file to your desktop.
  • Right-click on [Image: adwcleaner_new.png] icon and select [Image: RunAsAdmin.jpg] Run as Administrator to start the tool.
  • Follow the prompts and click Scan
  • When finished, please click Clean.
  • Upon completion, click Report. A log (AdwCleaner[S*].txt) will open.

Please include the contents of that file in your reply.

Thanks Brian

I should have emphasised this is just a 'pop up' not the programme & as such does not appear in the 'programs list'.
I have ABP installed which keeps the majority of dross away but this one seems to get through or do you think it's on my pc?
This next time it 'pops up' I'll save a screen shot & post it in the thread.

Regards t ..

you said you are using IE maybe you are just getting pops in IE

are you getting pops in google chrome or Firefox with ublock install

#5
I would still run AdwCleaner as you may be surprised what it will find hidden in the browser profiles.

I am going honest with you IE 11 is a big risk for malware

I ran both AdwCleaner & CCleaner without any advisories however to date, two days I haven't had it reappear.
Fingers crossed it says that way.
