Copying Music to USB...
#1
Hi All..

I have a very (simple) question regarding the copying of music (MP3) files from the computer to external USB.
I want to be able to change the playing order so that instead of the player playing alphabetically all the songs for each artist
I want to be able to change the order so that the songs become more random in playing..

i.e. I f I have songs from Adele (Chasing Pavements, Rolling In The Deep & Hello) and songs from Beyonce (Haunted, No Angel & Jealous) - Traditionally they would play all Adele first and then play all of Beyonce... What I would like to do is change the order to say play 1 of Adele then 1 of Beyonce Etc..

Is there a way I can change the order of the songs in the folder to the way I want them played and then copy that order to the USB so that when I take the USB and put it into the car to play.. they will play in the order that I had selected.???

Any and all help will be appreciated.!!

Regards

There should be a "Random" option somewhere in the settings of your media player. If you enable that the player will simply pick songs at random to play.

I thought there was a way that it could be done on the windows side of things.??

Do you have iTunes? If so, then you can create your own random playlist with any songs you like in any order you like.

Simply go to the file menu the chose new then playlist. Call it what you want (ie USB Music) then once you have added all the songs you want in the order you want, just highlight all tracks and drag to your USB drive.
Remember! You should exercise complete CTRL and you ALT to think carefully before you DELete stuff willy nilly.

If you want to use Media Player, just right click on the screen and choose shuffle.

I'll chime in with my £2's worth. LOL

Firstly you asked for Random and then stated your Sony system doesn't have that function so you can't play 'Randomly' no matter what you do.

Then you asked if you could play the songs in a specified order of your choosing, however you pretty much stated the answer yourself.

1. Adele - Hello

2. Beyonce - No Angel

3. Adele - Rolling...

etc

Just put a number in front of the Artist Name (usually) or Song Name depending on how the player reads the title info.
