It's likely that the system files may have become corrupt due to infections. I would like you to open the command prompt as an administrator and run sfc /scannow as explained at https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/kb/929833

It will scan for corruptions and try repairing them. If the corruptions could not be repaired, my suggestion for the next course of action would be a clean install of Windows

If however everything looks good, download this program called Process Explorer from https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/processexplorer.aspx

Start the program, click 'Options' from the top menu, select VirusTotal.com from the dropdown and click 'Check VirusTotal.com'

This should bring up a pop-up about the VirusTotal Terms of Service. Select yes and you will then see a new column at the end called Virus Total with its ratings of all the processes that are running in your pc

The ratings will show up after the hashes are submitted and this will take a few seconds. I've attached two screenshots just in case.

I would like you to look for the ratings that appear in red. If for instance, you see a process with a rating of 26/54, it would mean that 26 of the 54 antivirus software detects it as malicious

Such ratings will appear in red and they can help us determine if the processes are legit or not

If you see processes with those ratings in red, please name those processes in your reply and then we can take it from there.
