Another Dumb BIOS Question
#11
I would try one keyboard at a time

base on what you are saying it looks like the bios is corrupt or damage

So,I am guessing you suggest clearing CMOS and reloading current BIOS?

did you get any luck with the keyboard ?

I would just clear the bios see if that work

if still no luck then I would reload the bios

if still luck I downgrade bios with a older version

The only older BIOS is the release version. The current version is what is on the install disk.MB is only 6 months from release. And no I haven't tried the PS2 keyboard yet. They are in the bottom of my puter stuff storage tub.

Well,GDMFTBBSOBBAH! Thx guys .....I just tried a Logitech USB,a Micro PS\2,and a Rosewill TB1a PS\2 and all 3 of 'em takes the boot right to BIOS with a small delay.Looks like I am going to have to buy a new Backlit KB.This one has served me well...I think I have had it like 9 years or some garbage.

I have to have BL because of my eyesight so.......again....thx for all the patience and help....everyone including Compton.

glad you got it working Smile

with that being said I would leave the bios well only

meaning no updating of the bios

you would only update if necessary Smile
