Thumbs Up
I'm certainly no techno geek and I guess I'm a bit of a Luddite.  Having recently updated to Windows 10, all was well for a while, until recently when the start menu stopped working.  Turning to the ever helpful YouTube, I scanned a few posts for an answer, to no avail.  That is until I happened upon your video. I worked through your instructions and low and behold, all fixed.  Apart from this intro, I just wanted to say a big thanks for the help.

Regards,

John.

Yes:

Britec is amazing when it comes to his tutorials: They are Clear, concise and to the point, and he always gives you a WARNING if what he does may mess up your machines. Why, just yesterday, for example, I watched a video about D7 - and I will tell you, I was watching it at LEAST twice!! Big Grin

Thank You Britec for all you do Big Grin You are INDEED a "computer paramedic" Big Grin (I wonder if Her Majesty (Queen Elizabeth II) would consider "knighting" you - from all I see, you have helped people from all over the place Wink)

You are WELCOME Britec!! - I meant EVERY word: Your command of the computer is amazing, and your patience with people, and your ability to explain difficult concepts in simple ways make you and your site what it is Smile

Some people say I make things more difficult than they need to be when explaining computer concepts, but I believe that sometimes you need to explain things completely to make sure users UNDERSTAND what is going on. I remember that I got a tech call one day, and it was from a lady in my local area that said she was having problems with her Windows Machine. She explained the problem to me, and the first thing I asked was "Have you done your Windows Updates?" Usually, when I ask a user if they have done this, they would say either Yes or no - but this lady says to me "What are Windows Updates?"

When she said that, it meant that I would end up having to spend more time over there, explaining the importance of Windows Updates. Now, with the new Windows 10, MS will be shoving these things down our throats, which I feel is STUPID, because what happens if an Update breaks the system?

All in all, I have been watching your videos, monitoring the forums, and dealing with your amazing staff - In your years of doing computer repair, I bet you that you have had similar or stranger things happen - Techs like us could probably write for years about our experiences Wink

Good Show, Brian Wink
