hi how are you Britec09 i have a very serious problem hope you will reply i have 3 folder in I Drive when i click on these folder my system hang badly when i want to delete these folders i get this error i/o device error and i cant delete folder and when i start chkdsk /f /x I: i got these lines File record segment 13908 is unreadable.
File record segment 13909 is unreadable.
File record segment 13910 is unreadable. please reply me how to i repair my hard drive with out data lose

Please run the following command in an elevated command prompt
CHKDSK I:/R
It will scan for logical file system errors in the disk and try repairing them. It will also look for physical disk errors and mark them.
Be patient while the scan is in process. It may take a while and the progress of the scan may appear to be stuck in some cases, but be patient and let it complete.
By the way, have you created any other folder in that drive and tried deleting that? ... and what happens if you try deleting a file instead?
Once drive is starting to fail your playing Russian roulette with your data, because the drive can fail at anytime and you will lose it all.
Backup data and buy a new hard drive.

yes i know already my drive have some serious problem and i also don't want to loss my data i m buying new drive and copy all data after copied i ll format my hard drive may be drive ll work again Thanks For Replying
