hal.dll error
#1
Could you please help me with a tutorial as to how to fix this problem.I ran this computer on Windows 7 pro, and when trying to switch on one day this came up:

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
<windows root>\system32\hal.dll.
Please re-install a copy of the above file.

I no longer have any disk for the windows 7 pro, however I can access the BIOS.
Any help would be much appreciated  Smile
Thank you

Hi aliiji, Thanks for contacting for the forum!

If you want help from other members on this forum, create a thread in the operating system, windows 7 forum not the video request forum. If you want Britec to make a video about this issue, that is different.

Try to access the recovery options in windows 7.
