I posted a link to uninstall photo app in windows 8 because your in windows 8 forum. But you are running windows 10.
I'm running windows 10 and all I have to do to uninstall the photo app is left click the app under setting and it gives me the option to uninstall. You don't have that option Jon Gilbert? I Take this back I have the option but it is grayed out.

It's my bad. I thought you had Windows 10.
It looks like there is no way to remove the photos app in Windows 8.1, as advised by an MVP on the following page https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-pictures/how-do-i-completely-disable-photos-in-windows-8/1557802f-859c-4ba1-9154-51a623700963?auth=1 If you like, you can upgrade to Windows 10 for free, and remove the photos app. Microsoft still offers free upgrades to those who may use assistive technologies https://www.howtogeek.com/265409/you-can-still-get-windows-10-for-free-from-microsofts-accessibility-site/ |
