Hello, I'm a newby. Caught some of Britec's brilliant YouTube videos and made me realise how little I know about computers.
I couldn't think of a better place to come with my technical queries. I'm in awe of Britec's knowledge but the recent videos
about ransomware and security has scared the living daylights out of me. I'm hoping to learn a lot from you and keep my system
up and running without too many problems. I'm not a complete technical novice but know my limits. I built my first computer in the 80's
it was a Sinclair zx80 in kit form.

I used to be a PCB design engineer, designing advanced digital circuitry for the telecoms industry but have now retired and spend my
time creating art and music, using my computer to get it out into the cyber world.

I am with you too when it comes to ransomware and security, it scares me the daylight out me, the videos that Brian makes about ransomware, scares me because of the damage, pain, suffering and power of ransomware. You are not alone, we are all trying our best to prevent getting infected. If you want to talk about it, post a thread in general discussion.
