outlook 2010
#1
Confused  Outlook 2010 which I use on both of my computers, one is win 10 home, the other is win 7 pro..
yesterday it stopped sending or receiving my Hotmail .co.uk account.
I can log into my Hotmail account from msn ok  so I can read and send from that. but why would both computers get the same problem at the same time  Sad
I have changed no settings in Outlook..

I don't think you need to.

I suggest, you remove your Outlook Profile. Then create a New One and after that, setup your Hotmail account account again like you did before and hopefully that should resolve your problem.

You don't need to worry about backing up your data as you are using an online sync account, which means all your emails, contacts, calender's , folders and etc will come back automatically.

You may also need to reinstall Hotmail Connector, here are the download links:
32-bit: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=24677
64-bit: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=21305

Also do you have second verification enabled on your account. If so you will need to create an app password! Check this article about second verification and app passwords: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/12409/microsoft-account-app-passwords-two-step-verification

Just for kicks download Thunderbird and use the same settings that you are using with Outlook to rule out a settings issue. That way you can also verify your email server is pushing your email.
