Hi f23948,

This is a scam webiste and pop up. Do not call the toll number, otherwise the person will cause damage your system i.e lock you out of your system, infect your machine or corrupt your system files.

To resolve this issue, please follow the steps below:

1. First, open task manager and try to force  chrome to close. if not use taskkill, yes it works!

2. After you have forced your browser to close, please  run some scans just to make sure your system is clean from malware.

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.
  • Install the progam and select update.
  • Once updated, click the Settings tab, in the left panel choose Detctions & protection and tick Scan for rootkits.
  • Click the Scan tab, choose Threat Scan is checked and click Scan Now.
  • If threats are detected, click the Apply Actions button. You will now be prompted to reboot. Click Yes.
  • Upon completion of the scan (or after the reboot), click the History tab.
  • Click Application Logs and double-click the Scan Log.
  • At the bottom click Export and choose Text file.
Save the file to your desktop and include its content in your next reply.

  • Check the box beside "No, I only want to perform a one-time scan to check this computer".
  • Click on the next button.
  • The program will start to scan the computer. The scan will typically take no more than 2-3 minutes.
  • When the scan is done click on drop-down menu of the found entries (if any) and choose - Apply to all => Ignore <= IMPORTANT!!!
  • Click on the next button.
  • Click on the "Export scan results to XML file".

it's a bummer
i did clicked on ok about hours ago

also i have uninstalled Malwarebytes about a months ago due to slow startup time

#9
OK, Malwarebytes shouldn't affect the startup times, it is probably the malware on your computer that is affecting the startup times. If you still can't force your browser to close, please download rkill, this will stop the process and allows you to run scans. Make sure you use a different browser to download it.

Please download and run one of the following tools, this will help allow our programs to run. (thanks to BleepingComputer.com)

There are 6 different versions of Rkill. Please try one at a time until one runs.

Running Windows vista, 7 or 8 "right click and choose Run as Administrator"

Say yes to prompt box.

  1. rkill.exe Yes
  2. rkill.com
  3. rkill.scr
  4. rkill.pif
  5. WiNlOgOn.exe
  6. uSeRiNiT.exe

If rkill doesn't stop chrome, I would suggest you force your computer to turn off by holding the power button down until your screen goes black, then run a different browser and follow my instructions in my last post.

After you have completed the steps

Please run the Chrome Cleanup Tool to remove any malware, software or anything that is stopping chrome working on your Windows PC.

I'm confused. One minute you're using Win8.1 then you say you're using Zorin, I'm lost.
