I am researching which desktop pc to purchase. I am down to two:
1. Dell xps x8900-2508BLK. I7-6700, 3.4 ghz, 16 gig DDR4, 1 tb, GeForce GT730. Currently going for around $850 - $890.
2. Cybertron PC: AMD FX 6300, 3.5 ghz, 6 core processor, 16 gig DDR3, 1 TB, Nvidia GeForce GTX 950 2GB. Currently going for $750.
I am familiar with Dell, and believe I should be satisfied with the Dell xps x8900 model. However, I am not familiar with Cybertronpc's. Are they reliable, and worth the money? I usually go for AMD processors as they are cheaper and have been led to believe they are also excellent processors, and cheaper due to no name recognition.
QUESTION: Is there anyone on the forum familiar with Cybertron computers, and if yes, is this model comparable with the Dell Intel I7 model? The only difference I can see is the Cybertronpc does not have a memory card reader, which is not a show stopper. And also is Cybertronpc a reputable manufacturer producing quality products?
Any help will be greatly appreciated. My skill level is above par - have a part time business of repairing Windows based computers, but just not familiar with Cybertronic. Am looking for a top end machine that does not cost an arm and a leg as I am retired and definitely not rich. Last computer was purchased in 2009 and still has Vista on it. Thus need to either upgrade operating system or purchase a new computer. After 8 years, time to buy new.
Again, thanks to anyone responding to this post.

Build yourself a better machine, I did a quick spec for you Here
Can make changes, has a GTX 1060 6GB version, if your not a gamer, upgrade CPU to i7 and buy a cheaper graphics card.

Britec, thanks for the quick reply, I really appreciate it. The specs for building are really good, however when I add windows 10 the price goes over $1000.00. Also, sounds like you prefer intel (I7) over AMD - which to me indicates the Dell is probably a better deal. If wrong let me know, but again I really appreciate your response.

I would advise you to build it yourself from scratch. The specifications you provided are kinda overkill if you ask me for regular use, unless you are a gamer
If you want recommendations, let me know

I think some of them dell parts will be generic, I have updated to i7 and added os, you can tweak more to lower price, its still better than that dell.
New Build

Again, I appreciate the two responses, definitely a lot of food for thought. Will definitely reconsider. I realize what I am looking at is "overkill". However, I am going for overkill for basically two reasons: 1. Probably 8-10 years before I upgrade to another computer and have some overkill for future "stuff". And 2. Getting heavily again into photography and if I end up going into video editing I want something definitely more powerful than my current requirements. Gaming has never been my bag. After 40+ years in IT, when home I do not "chillout" via playing computer games - look for hobbies that do not include computers.
Again I appreciate all responses.
