Hi Compton,
The computer is running fine now with me listening to your expert advice! For that I thank you. What I'm attempting to do now is that I want to rid my OS completely and ever more of Cortana
Things I've tried: I downloaded the Gpedit service (my windows is Home version) I was successful in getting it install. Had a bit of an issues with the installing the snap-in but that has been resolved.
The other thing I tried was running SFC which did not resolve my issue.
When attempting provided directions to disable Cortana all goes well untill I get to the last step which "click on search" such that in my Gpedit does not show the suggested 'search' option. More than better understanding Gpedit I would much rather have direction as to completely disabling Cortana. can you help?
Cheers!
