It could be related to the RAM but I think it would be worthwhile to remove the antivirus software and check before he reseats the RAM

I know that some processes that load at the startup can cause issues like this

I agree it could be a ram issue but I think we should do Partha's suggestion! There are some powerful Antiviruses that decrease the performance of the system and slow the startup. But we do have to keep in mind that depending on how powerful the antivirus, it can take most of the ram's resources and depending on how much he has got, if there hardly any for him to use for other programs, then his system will be slow.

I did as you said with advanced scan, it just halves the boot time, but nowhere as near as fast as booting into safe mode.

Boot log file in the attachment, and I do not quite catch the meaning on the second part on the question.

If you are asking "what port" or "which port" is the SSD plugged in,
what port: Bus Number 4, Target Id 0, LUN 0
which port: There is only one room for a hard drive

BIOS question: I have looked all over the place in BIOS mode, I have not found anything mentioning IDE, AHCI or RAID.

Have you checked to see if theres a firmware update for your ssd? And did you make sure that all the cables and hardware are seated properly? If there is a firmware update please post here first before you update it. And did you make sure trim is turned on for the ssd? What steps and software did you use before you cloned the hd to the ssd?

Well, I think we are making some progress. I read the boot log and noticed that a driver called dxgkrnl didn't load. Okay, so this is what I would like you to do from here..........

Into the address bar of the file explorer, enter the following address
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\System Settings

Check if "Turn on fast startup" is enabled. If not, click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable" as highlighted below and enable the feature

If the issue persists, I would like you to perform a clean boot as explained at the following link and check
https://support.microsoft.com/en-in/kb/929135

Let us know the results

I checked it right now via the device manager, no updates found.
Yes, all cables and hardware are seated properly
Trim is already on.
I used EaseUS Todo Backup Free 9.2 and followed the online intructions.

I do not have that feature on a windows 8 machine. You do realise that screenshot is Windows 10...
I have gone ahead and done a clean boot and there has been no change.

You mean before the Fujitsu logo appears? Less than a second.

BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \??\H:\Stuff\bin\epp64.sys (Emsisoft Anti-Malware Platform Protection) uninstall this.

BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\dxgkrnl.sys (Its trying to load this on a number of occasions) this can cause very slow bootup times, try reinstalling graphics driver and check DirectX. I would also run chkdsk /r /f and do a startup repair.

BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \??\H:\STUFF\BIN\a2ddax64.sys (Emsisoft Anti-Malware Platform Protection) uninstall this.

BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \SystemRoot\system32\drivers\WdFilter.sys ( we can deal with this later)

The feature should be there. This site at https://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/6320-fast-startup-turn-off-windows-8-a.html specifies the same address from where the feature can be enabled
