Iceberg Is About to Break Off from Antarctica
#11
Not so sure on this global warming vs ice melting vs sea levels rising. NASA has confirmed just the opposite. Temps are actually dropping in Antarctica with ice actually forming more than melting and snow fall amounts have been astronomical. NASA confirms falling sea Levels for two years.
Links are below... This just shows how media can produce so much scare mongering.

"A new NASA study says that an increase in Antarctic snow accumulation that began 10,000 years ago is currently adding enough ice to the continent to outweigh the increased losses from its thinning glaciers."

"NASA’s own data reveal that worldwide ocean levels have been falling for nearly two years"

It's important to realize that the increase in the ice accumulation actually could be attributed to global warming; the media ain't spreading any falsehood in this regard

I  remember watching this  documentary called "Before the Flood" about the effects  of climate change on our planet, and I recommend as many people as I can, to watch it

Yeah there are always arguments and I am not saying that greenhouse gasses are not affecting the climate, however I do not feel that the effects are as HUGE as media and global warming activists are making it out to be. Our planet has undergone massive warming and cooling changes for millions of years.

We do know there have been 3 ice ages and they say it will happen again, its part of earth life cycle.
I do think we are causing damage to our earth with all the industrial crap in the air around the world.

Cars, Industrial etc etc

China, India, America are major abusers of this but that's not to say we in the UK without blame, we do our fair share as well.
The Amazon forest is being cut down at an alarming rate.

My first thought on seeing the cracking of the Ice Berg is that its just mother nature being normal and nothing is going to come from this breaking away. Guess we will wait and see. Like it's been said the planet has undergone many ice ages and it is part of mother nature, with that said the planet is made not as delicate as some people may believe.
Its been around a long time and it will remain to be for a longer time. Here in the states, we log 365 days a year and when we get done with a patch of timber we replant and continue to nourish that reproduction of the timber until it is ready for another harvest.

I suggest  everyone to watch that documentary; it's an eye-opener, believe me. What's part of  our planet's life cycle are the natural changes that take place in the climate; it does not take into account any artificial interference

But since the industrial revolution, we've been artificially disturbing the greenhouse concentrations, and that is where the problem lies.

People would not be human if they did not think and have ideas. Global warming is an idea that a group of people had to give an answer to what the planet is doing that they don't fully understand. I could go into the way the brain works but I am trying to make this as short as possible. The planet is not acting any different than it has in the past its just that man is for the first time around to see it change and therefore there must be something that is causing this, instead of just excepting that we live on a planet that is ever-changing, and some things just are natural. But because we don't understand why or how we have "global warming". We have to accept that man is not all knowing and that there are some things that we just don't know. In my opinion, man will never destroy the planet

We understand a lot about our planet now and the fact that it has warmed to a great extent, because of man-made events. I mean these are facts that cannot be disputed

It is natural for the climate to change and there's no problem if it happens naturally, but as we've observed, the present global warming is a result of other causes

Industrial Revolution has increased the levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, and that's a fact, not just an idea as you put it

I have seen the documentary and have read many articles on global warming. I want to reiterate, I am not saying that there are no effects from green house gasses. However, according to many "global warming experts and scientists" who started this doom and gloom many years ago. Much of the land was supposed to under water by now lol. That is simply not the case. The planet is not deteriorating as rapidly as it's being reported. Should something be done to curve greenhouse gasses? Indeed it should
