I would like to know how this registry setting works im confused
#1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM \CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem
NtfsMemoryUsage=0,1,2

Ive read all kinds of stuff about ntfsmemoryusage and by what ive read 0=not set ,1=default, 2=increase cache. So basically the ntfsmemoryusage is how much of the memory cache ntfs can use which sounds great but then i read something about how the setting caches files,programs you use,and programs the setting thinks you will use.

Im intrested in this because ive installed 8gb of ram and windows only seems to cache maybe 2gigs and my system at an idle only uses a gig and the highest my ram usage has gotten so far is 2.1gb so im trying to find away to increase my ram or change how much ram is allocated or something.

Ive used ram disk but the programs i use doesn't really need a ram disk but maybe a cmd setting ,reg tweak might work. I read this https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/bb870880(v=vs.85).aspx

And theres settings about system cache limit would that be connected to the largesystemcache in memory management?
