I have it on a USB thumb drive with all the driver packs "14GB"... Use SDI to get your basic drivers and drivers that Windows 10 can't seem to find. Works great and saves a bunch of time.

So you use snappy drive installer, when installing the drivers on a fresh install of windows.

Yes, That's what I use on customer PC's. Not only on fresh installs... when a client comes in with a driver issue, I can have them out the door in 5 to 10 minutes.

EDIT: If it's a custom built PC, always go to the Motherboard Manufacturer and get the latest drivers...
Doesn't Snappy Driver installer have the latest drivers Larry???

For mass produced PC like one you buy from a store...It should. But if it's a custom built PC with for example..a new Z170 or Z270..I would go to ASUS or Gigabyte for all the drivers. I highly doubt SDI would have those drivers.
Actually it has found the intel management engine and the chipset. Also it has found others.

On a brand new freshly built custom system?

Some old drivers do work on new hardware, I have even seen drivers from Windows 98 still working on some things.

I would go to the ASUS website to get the chipset driver, those NVIDIA drivers failed probably because your onboard display is disabled.

Cheers Larry, for now on I will use Snappy Driver Installer for all my driver needsSmile If there is a problem with snappy driver installer, I will download the drivers manually!
