its necessary to backup the system reserved without it you can't restore image

#3
restore part comes later. I can not backup the system reserved because D drive is taking too much space..And it can not be unchecked like the picture for some reason..but D is not a system drive..so why it is included automatically in the list?not even any app is installed in D. what makes a drive system drive without softwere installation? why can't I uncheck it from the list?

#4
when creating a system image the system reserved must be backup because it hold the boot configuration files for booting windows

you can't create system image on system reserved you will have to use a external hard drive

#5
Was this a fresh install and did you previously have another OS on that HDD?

#6
I just realize he is not  talking about   system reserved

when its the weekend and you over do the do lol

sorry about that kowshik sarker

It must have some boot files on there and it thinks it's an operating system or something.
1. Was this an upgrade from another operating system?
2. Was there ever an operating system on that drive?
3. Can you not unplug that drive before creating an image?
4. You could use Partition Wizard to make changes to the drive
5. Can you download EasyBCD and post the boot partitions for them drives?

Its ok..That's why I marked D drive.. I am not talking about system reserved....# compton
and GuiltySpark i didn't install another os. (ofcorse I updated windows) infact I created a windows 10 system image before on D drive about 1 year ago. it was ok at that time.

Britec I have kali linux installed on wmware workstation as a guest. and installation file is on D drive.but the problem occured before the intallation of linux. But no host os ever installed on that drive. The problem occured suddenly after first image backup.First backup was a success.I can not unplug the drive..I tried to hide the drive by assigning another drive letter or delete the leter. but it apprared as unknown system drive in the list with checkmark.

Is it possible to delete manually only the D drive backup files from image backup without damaging it?

Is this one drive with partitions? if D: is its own drive can you not unplug that drive before creating an image?
