Registry modifacations increased response times
#1
These 2 registry modifications increase my mechanical hard drive from 105 to the picture shown below. how is this possible?

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\services\Tcpip\Parameters]
"NumTcbTablePartitions"=dword:00000008

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\PriorityControl]
"Win32PrioritySeparation"=dword:0000001a

Yeah I thought that was pretty impressive since its supposed to top out at 110 and the responsiveness seems quicker also

Does anyone have anymore documentation about the following reg key?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\services\Tcpip\Parameters]
"NumTcbTablePartitions"=dword:00000008

NumTcbTablePartitions is modified to get the best out of the processors on a Windows server environment; it shouldn't have any observable effect on Windows 7 with a  dual-core processor

It would cause a difference if the value of the parameter is lowered in a server which has more than 16 processors or cores

Ctrl+F for NumTcbTablePartitions at https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb463205.aspx

You love your Server Tweaks don't you smirk.

I suspect the performance increase is more down to ;

"Win32PrioritySeparation"=dword:0000001a

Giving priority to foreground / background services.

If I had the money heck yes it would lol.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\PriorityControl]
"Win32PrioritySeparation"=dword:0000001a

And HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\OptimalLayout]
EnableAutoLayout =1

Helps my system out that is low end not so much with benchmarks but responsiveness

EnableAutoLayout =1

It would do as it rearranges files on the disk to be accessed easier.
(NOT the same as defragging)
