My computer keeps restarting during install and displays an error
#21
I would boot up partition wizard and see if it shows an OS on the drive, if it does then boot the install disc but select Repair and see if it can find an OS to repair.

It could even be a bad ISO. Where did you get it?

wonder if it needs a sata driver during install. Is that AGP graphics interface I see?

https://www.raymond.cc/blog/how-to-burn-downloaded-windows-vista-to-dvd/

All I know is its a built in NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE graphics card. The picture of the error is what error I get but it's not a picture of my actual computer.

When I power on the computer it sounds like the fan kicks in really hard for a few seconds and then the computer sounds as it should.

I found the specs for my graphics card on this chart though https://www.nvidia.com/object/mobo_gpu_tech_specs.html

There is an option for a sata controller in the bios that's enabled but there's an option to disable

Here's the specs of the mobo https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00757531

I tried installing windows vista home premium sp2 32 bit and 64 bit

Specs show "Windows Vista Capable" However this shipped with XP Media Center. Does have PCI-e X1... The original PCI-E :

No it states "Vista Capable". Are there any AHCI settings in your BIOS for the SATA hard drive?

What would the setting in the bios need to be for a Built in NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE and the options in the bios are pci,pci-e and onboard
