If the system protection of that drive was disabled, I don't think those restore points could've been created. It must be something else then

Ok try this first before formating, open cmd with admin and type the following command
Code:
f:\
rmdir "system volume information" /s /q
So first type "F:\" (and press enter)
then type rmdir "system volume information" /s /q (and press enter)

Thank you RECdevicehelper.. But I have tried this command earlier..Access is denied..because only ownership it has is system..not even administrator..I tried chenging it. but couldn't..

Ok, I think we have gone beyond the point of trying to troubleshoot, I would suggest you format the drive. But first backup all data in the drive besides the system volume information.

Can you please download this program Shadow Explorer

Please post screen shots of the drive you're talking about.

If this program does not detect anything, then there is nothing in that folder. Make sure you're running as administrator.

kowshik sarker you can try booting up to a live disk and see what you can come up with

You have corrupt shadow copies, copy data from that drive and delete the partition and re-create it with a different drive letter and see if that resolves your issue.
