Can't seem to get my ASUS Sonic Master online.
#1
Hello everyone,

A couple of days ago I was working on the laptop and decided to remove an unnecessary protocol or service then the laptop could not gain Internet access. So after fiddling around with it I still could not get on the Internet. So I did a system restore and it still would not connect to the Internet access. I have also tried via ethernet and it still won't work.

I do see a selection in the network icon, on the task bar, however I cannot connect. The only thing with that access for the WiFi is it's button has an "X" which means it's not installed, or the like.

All my other devices seem to be working on WiFi.

Hope I have made myself clear since I am typing on my tablet.

TIA.

sound like a driver problem did you re installing WiFi and Ethernet driver?

what protocol or service did you remove? I have seen disabling service could make the internet stop working

Thanks Compton. One was the Avastin Security Line, however it was reinstalled. But I will attempt an Uninstall the reinstall of the driver (s) and see what happens.

BTW, I checked a couple of the adapters and there was a message saying that the adapters were not installed. So I added a couple of them and just rebooted.
