Help- DNS Server error issues.
#1
My computer gets connected to the internet via WiFi (a modem connected to the home broadband connection) however, after every 5 minutes it gets disconnected. I am not sure whether the problem is with the ISP or my modem not transmitting packets. I have tried troubleshooting using the "troubleshoot option" in Windows, I do this around 10 times over a span of 15 minutes and it still it gives me the same error? Am i missing something here? How do i resolve this please? Huh

Are there any faulting lights being displayed on the router / modem?

Have you tried a wired connection to rule out overall packet loss?

Is this a laptop or desktop?

A desktop. I ended up having to change the DNS server on Windows 8. The steps are quite detailed so i wouldn't be in a position to post a short cut. However, what i used was this guide that highlighted the steps from the very beginning up until i solved the problem.
