I know Compton is trying to make the OP aware of asking in another thread... but wanted to throw this out there.

I started using Comodo Cloud Antivirus on my main machine and installing on customer PC's... It's doing a great job and does everything that a paid product does...

It does install Geekbuddy, but you can go back and uninstall it without affecting what the program does.

Looks like the trade off for being free is because when it finds an unknown file and it's found to be good or bad, it automatically gets added to their database. So basically they are building up their database in return...

That doesn't make any sense.  Huh

It finds an unknown file - that's fine nothing wrong with that.

It's found to be good or bad - how  Dodgy what defines it as good or bad?

It's automatically added to its database - surely it has to be in the database first to determine if it's good or bad.

These AVs are getting worse and worse with how they do things.

Hey GS...

When Comodo finds an unknown file, it is sandboxed then uploaded to Valkyrie where it is analyzed...When the unknown file is determined to be good or bad the result is added to their database. Comodo is a default deny platform, it doesn't only rely on definitions... In a nutshell, with default deny, nobody has to get infected first before they know what it is. This is how they are finding zero day malware.

Think I have come across the answer for this question somewhere in the forum. Anyway to help you out right in this thread, I would suggest you read this article: https://www.1and1.co.uk/digitalguide/server/security/comparison-of-the-best-antivirus-programmes/
roll down and you will see the comparison of some available antivirus programs, then choose the right one that fits your requirements. Good luck! Smile
