Question
Hello Geeks/Nears/Smarts. Today,  I have an question about something been being oddly happening for like ...eh 2-3 months more or less. Tell you a quick story. 1st when our internet, was like going off for while...Most time you will see a yellow triangle (sometime means cannot connect or bad connects, something) but when Our ISP, when 1 guy come out saying our Mac-Air-Port is needed to be update.....But we all know new routers, don't go out, and they have auto-updates...He told us to get an new one. (bla blah blah) so on. So after or be-for he came out our internet will go 100% off. Now sometimes it will just do a quick flash probably(like 1-5 secs being offline)..But when it does, my laptop will go in a 100% yellow triangle mode...telling me the internet is out, but if it was...How the reset of my family still be online? Can my laptop doing something weird with anything with the Hardware< ? OR >Software?
Please hit me up. Thanks!

(I will go over my typing on this make sure I typed all right. Edit will happen..If something looks bad!)

Shane what you need to do is determine if its software or hardware issue or ISP issue, this is hard to do from a forum, you can try tracert command to see what hop is falling over on, this can help to determine if its ISP end or yours.

Also if its happening on all computers its unlikely to be the same software issue on all computers, is it wireless only or does it happen on wired also? if your on BT connection DSL/ADSL then check plug a known good short telephone cable from main socket to router, that way you bypass all other cables in house and extension cables. Make sure filters are on all sockets, and swap out to a known good router.

Once you know its not in your house ie: hardware or computer, you can safely say its out side or exchange end this is to do with your ISP, show the ISP all the tracert and they can see where its falling over and will be able to help you.

Hope this helps you out, keep us informed to what your doing or need help with anything and I or other can try and help.
